Goals of the Party
Long-Term Goal of the Party
- To strengthen the emerging political system to reunify the Somali people and guide the country towards a multi-party system to facilitate the establishment of good governance in Somalia.
Short-Term Goals of the Party
- To disseminate and communicate the SSUP party program to the Somali public through individual interactions, public meetings, and media outlets, guiding the public towards the right path of democracy.
- To gradually establish four regional offices in the northeastern, northwestern, southern, and southwestern regions of Somalia, in order to:
- Bring the party closer to the Somali people affected by poverty, illiteracy, and war.
- Accelerate the implementation of the party’s established program.
- Scientifically and accurately assess the real needs of the Somali people.
- Start building a democratic system from the grassroots level.
- Encourage and enable public participation in the advice and decisions involved in building a democratic society.
- To create and implement public awareness campaigns aimed at establishing a grassroots democratic system, enabling the party to establish strong pillars within Somali society, so that:
- The party can have numerous members as representatives or parliamentarians in the villages, districts, and regions of Somalia.
- The party can win many seats in the anticipated federal parliament of Somalia.
- To strengthen and provide skills that enhance the professional and work-related abilities of the existing and emerging administrations in villages, districts, and regions of Somalia, so that:
- A suitable environment can be created in Somalia for the implementation and practice of a democratic system.
