Our Vision

The Somali Social Unity Party (SSUP)’s vision is founded on the principles of unity and progress. The party is committed to reuniting the Somali people and developing a government based on the rule of law and good governance.

Specifically, the SSUP advocates for an end to the clan system that has long undermined national unity. We believe that a lasting solution to this problem can only be achieved through fundamental changes in the country’s governance. We need to build a society based on the principles of justice and equality, where all citizens are equal.

To build a prosperous Somalia based on justice, where all citizens enjoy peace, security, and dignity. A Somalia where the principles of justice, equality, and human rights are upheld, and where the power of every individual is fully realized.

To achieve this vision, the SSUP advocates for:

• Reunifying the Somali people: Ending the long-standing divisions and restoring national unity.
• Building a strong and just government: Establishing a government based on the rule of law, good governance, and accountability.
• Overcoming the clan system: Ending the clan-based divisions that have long plagued Somali society.
• Promoting justice: Ensuring that the benefits (natural resources) and economic progress are equitably distributed among all citizens.

This vision will be achieved through:

• Genuine political change: Implementing a democratic system that ensures the participation and representation of all Somali people.
• Investing in people: Providing quality education, healthcare, and social services accessible to all citizens.
• Reconciliation: Encouraging dialogue and understanding among the various segments of Somali society.
• Intergovernmental cooperation: Strengthening cooperation to address regional challenges and promote national development.
• International cooperation: Strengthening cooperation with neighboring countries and the international community to facilitate trade, movement, and increase investment and tourism in our country.
